SUBJECT: Parallels between Reinhold Niebuhr’s “Serenity Prayer” and Sri Aurobindo’s “Yoga of Self-Perfection”
Richard Hartz will be visiting us at the EWCC, coming directly from the 2010 AUM Conference in upstate New York where he was a featured speaker on the above subject. He will also speak to us about “Parallels between Reinhold Niebuhr’s (American Theologian and Philosopher) “Serenity Prayer” and Sri Aurobindo’s “Yoga of Self-Perfection”.
A native of Seattle, Washington, Mr. Hartz has studied philosophy at Yale University and received an M.A. in South Asian languages and literature from the University of Washington. He has worked in the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Archives since 1980.
