Hailing from Calcutta, the much sought after tabla virtuoso, Bikram Ghosh had his main training on tabla with his illustrious father, Shankar Ghosh, and later from the great tabla guru, Jnan Prakash Ghosh. He was also trained in the South Indian Carnatic style of drumming by the mridangist S. Sekhar. He has accompanied all the stalwarts of vocal and instrumental music.

Since 1995, he has accompanied Ravi Shankar extensively in major concerts all over the world. Bikram has over twenty recordings and is a good friend of the Sri Aurobindo Center of Los Angeles.
