The Last Demoness
Here we continue the adaptations from traditional Indian fables by Shri Manoj Das, being serialized in Jyoti. This story. Based on a Buddhist Jataka, explores the extinction of the demon species and some of its uncommon human ramifications from an Aurobindonian perspective.

Five Paintings
Priti Ghosh is an artist from the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and a long-standing friend of the Center. Visitors to the ashram would be familiar with her large and evocative spiritual paintings hanging in the front room of the Dining Hall. Here we carry five of her mystical mindscapes covering a variety of terrain. Priti paints mostly using oils on canvas and achieves a rare and subtle modulation of color combined with the texturing commoner to oils. Her forms express a monumentality bespeaking an inspiration from what Sri Aurobindo terms "the Overhead planes." Most of these paintings are available for sale.  A Fragrant Recipe
Here we carry an aromatherapeutic delicacy from the kitchen of Chitvan Malik. Chitvan and Pravir, her husband, have been pursuing a diet based on raw foods and aromas. The present recipe features a raw, vegan ice-cream, specially enlivened with the power of essential oils.
