John Adams and Thomas Jefferson Revisited
Michael Miovic's review of Joseph Ellis's relatively recent biography of John Adams, Passionate Sage-The Character and Legacy of John Adams ( W.W. Norton & Company, 1994) explores the psycological makeup and social ideas of this American pioneer and early President, relating them to those of Thomas Jefferson and finding the links that connect the social and political ideas of these figures to those of Sri Aurobindo. In the process, an interesting parallel is drawn between the early American experiment and the Mother's experiment with the City of Dawn, Auroville.
